Dynamic local business owners to join expanding town centre

A 24-hour gym, veterinary hospital and tattooist have been revealed as the next exciting local businesses to join the expanding Sovereign Place Town Centre.

Construction is well underway on a $4 million 1,100m2 purpose-built extension, facing John Oxley Drive, which will accommodate dynamic businesses Your Life Fitness Gym, Sovereign Vet Hospital, and the Painted Horse Tattoo Company.

The expansion will feature a similar design to the existing Stage One precinct and will include an additional 64 car spaces.

Gavin Wilcox, owner of Your Life Fitness shared the details of their second Port Macquarie facility.

“The gym will be a full service 24-hour seven days a week club offering personal training, functional gear as well as standard weights and top-of-the-range cardio equipment,” he shared.

“Sovereign Hills is a really growing place. It’s got all the key elements; plenty of parking, road frontage, plenty of foot tragic, cafes and IGA. These are all big draw cards for a lot of people who go to the gym and then a café afterwards or grab some bread and milk on the way home.”

Sovereign Vet Hospital owners Erin Brooke and Kirrily McWilliams are thrilled to be opening their business at Sovereign Place.

“We cannot wait to open the doors. We think we’ve got a lot to offer the pets of Sovereign Hills,” they explained.

“Our practice will be a full-scale veterinary hospital, from consulting through to diagnostics, surgery and other treatments. The aim is that we can offer this new purpose-built location to improve not only the services to the clients and pets but also the employment opportunities to the vets and staff.”

Painted Horse Tattoo Company owner Sunny Turner is keen to expand his thriving business at Sovereign Place, bringing with him an experienced team of 10 tattoo artists.

“Our main service will be tattooing. We will also have a barber shop out the front and tattoo laser removal… All things tattooing and barbering,” Sunny shared.

“We can see this being the next town hub, rather than being in the CBD and that was the appeal to me.”

Sovereign Place will grow in stages, from the existing 5,200m2 Stage One to 25,000m2 ove rthe next seven years. The centre will not only service the surrounding Sovereign Hills residential community but the wider Port-Macquarie Hastings region, and beyond.

“Lewis Land Group’s vision for this precinct not only includes the creation of a unique shopping district but a cutting edge business hub designed for the future,” explained Lewis Land Group’s Asset Manager Tania Rucioch.

“Our location, in the centre of the Hastings district, midway between Sydney and Queensland next to the state’s major highway, is highly advantageous for local companies focused on growth as well as those looking to relocate to a desirable regional destination and a modern town centre where they can play a major role in the design of their premises.

“As Sovereign Place continues to expand, it will truly offer an opportunity for people to live, work and play in their backyard.”

More than 2,000 people now call the surrounding community of Sovereign Hills home and this number is anticipated to grow to 7,500 in the next 10 years.
