Learn about local Aboriginal culture and create traditional artwork with Cooeee Sistas Art Workshops at Sovereign Place Town Centre.
Back by popular demand, Aunty Debbs from Cooee Sistas Art Workshops returns to Sovereign Place Town Centre this NAIDOC Week for her much-loved Traditional Aboriginal Dot Painting Workshops.
After selling out quickly last year, these hands-on workshops are back to give children the opportunity to learn about Aboriginal culture through art, storytelling and creativity.
Guided by Aunty Debbs, participants will create their own artwork on wooden boomerangs, Australian animal shapes, and locally collected seeds and pods while exploring the meaning behind traditional dot painting, symbols and patterns used to share stories and connection to Country.
A fun, creative and meaningful school holiday activity that celebrates culture, learning and community.
