Sovereign Hills Stands With Community During Homelessness Awareness Week

As Australia observes Homelessness Awareness Week, Sovereign Hills and Lewis Land are delighted to announce a $15,000 donation to the Port Macquarie-Hastings Homeless Collective, further strengthening their heartfelt commitment to supporting the region's most vulnerable residents.

The Sovereign Hills team joined the community at Homelessness Awareness Day in Port Macquarie to show their support. The generous $15,000 contribution from The Lewis Foundation will directly support the Homeless Collective's incredible work addressing homelessness in the Port Macquarie community, providing hope, dignity and support to those experiencing housing stress.

"We value the essential services the Homeless Collective provides and are honoured to contribute to their mission of supporting those experiencing homelessness in our region," said Meg Tubman from Sovereign Hills. "These organisations are the real angels of our community, working hard to provide support that often goes unseen but touches so many lives.”

Cherie Caltabiano from the Port Macquarie-Hastings Homeless Collective expressed heartfelt gratitude for the ongoing partnership. "We are truly grateful for Sovereign Hills' continued support and for the trust they place in our work. Every dollar donated helps change lives - providing hope, dignity and support to those doing it tough, with all donations staying right here in our community."

The donation comes at a critical time when demand for homelessness services continues to rise amid ongoing cost of living pressures. Every dollar donated helps change lives, with all contributions staying within the local community.

"Our heartfelt commitment to the Port Macquarie community extends well beyond selling land – it's about nurturing and supporting our entire community.” Meg Tubman from Sovereign Hills added.

"We believe in giving back to ensure everyone in our region has access to the support and care they need."

The timing of the announcement during Homelessness Awareness Week highlights the ongoing need for community support and awareness around housing insecurity, an issue affecting many Australians across all demographics.
